1. Learner and novice riders
Focus is on "Riding Right from the Beginning and Beyond." This incorporates safety, correct riding position, confidence, fun and looking after the horse or pony properly.
Toby has been a super pony for his young riders in the past and he is well suited to his role as a school pony. Inexperienced riders will learn much and gain confidence and trust as they progress through their lessons.
Care and maintenance of the horse is also covered in lessons, along with correct saddling, bridling and grooming.
We have an enclosed arena and all lessons are individual and on a lunge line (ie pony is controlled by coach on a long lead line). Once the rider is more established they can proceed to ride independently.
Fees: $50.00 per 50 minutes for one rider OR $60.00 per 60 minutes for two riders to share a lesson.
Lessons can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly or one-off to meet your budget needs.

2. Lessons on your own horse
We understand that some people want to compete, and others have their horse for their own time-out from the rat race. We cater for both and can travel to you (local - we are based near Littlehampton) or you can bring your horse to us.
As a competitor, my background is in dressage, showing and jumping. If you don't wish to compete, I can help you and your horse become a team. Riding should be a pleasant experience for both parties. A responsive, confident horse is a much more pleasant ride, than a non-responsive, unsure horse.
Fees: $40 for 45 minutes at my place, or $50 for 45 minutes (inclusive of travel).
