Aged Care Nursing, Aged Care Services, Care Services
Recent information from the Department of Health Ageing indicates expenditure on residential aged care is currently growing at a higher than expected rate. This has meant increased scrutiny during ACFI validation, and specific targets for validation have been acknowledged.
A targeted, consistent, and regular training program provides benefits for multi-site organisations by ensuring:
A consistent standard of knowledge and skills is maintained across the organisation,
Staff new to the industry are provided ACFI specific observation and documentation skills,
Succession planning and inter-operability is enhanced, and,
Education is provided to different levels of staff specific to the required depth of knowledge for their role.
The W&L’s ACFI Consultant knowledge is available to help maintain/improve claiming and minimize ACFI validation risk. Organizations benefit when all levels of staff are involved in ACFI Training and Education; personal carers, nurses, ACFI clinicians, and facility managers. W&L’s sessions are specifically designed to assist in understanding of the ACFI, to be related to specific resident examples, to assist in ensuring maximal substantiation at validation, and assist in providing relevant health care for aged care residents. W&L is endorsed by the RCNA and can allocate Continuous Nursing Education (CNE) points for these sessions.
