There’s nothing like the mouth-watering smells of home-made pizza straight from the oven. So forget the frozen substitute, your pizza aficionado will introduce you to the secret of creating an authentic Italian pizza in this two and a half hour ‘hands-on’ classic pizza making cooking class.

We might not be in Rome, but we still do as the Romans do – and you will too! Using our traditional recipe to create the perfect crust and base and simply the freshest ingredients only found in an authentic Italian cucina, you’ll learn how to make this age-old classic the way it’s meant to be made.

Your culinary leader and teacher is vastly experienced, and first learnt the age old craft of pizza making at a tender age. Today he has turned his skill into a successful gourmet pizza store and catering business in Adelaide.

In this pizza making class, you will see that we don’t only talk with our hands, we cook with them too. So, when we say “hands-on” pizza making, we mean it! With the guidance of the experienced teacher, you’ll start with the foundation: creating the pizza dough from scratch. Then, using your hands as your tool, learn the technique to correctly kneading the dough, ensuring a perfect pizza base every time.

And, like all Italian masterpieces, it takes time. So, we let the dough sit and rest a while before rolling it out. Then, discover the precise art of pizza dough tossing! It can be a messy affair with flying pizzas, but we guarantee that you’ll never have so much fun learning in the kitchen.

You will be encouraged to stamp your own signature on this traditional recipe, using classic ingredients such as vine ripened tomatoes, locally made cheeses, Italian pepperoni, Kalamata olives and a simple tomato sauce infused with rustic flavours. Make your pizza as simple as a margarita or as dramatic as an Italian opera!

When you’ve finished creating your signature pizza, we fire up the oven to its highest temperature setting and cook it ‘til the cheese starts to bubble and ‘til the deep aromas have re-awakened your appetite and aroused your taste buds!

Italian cooking is all about coming and eating together. As the pizzas come out of the oven, we gather as new friends to share a slice with a good drop of vino.
