Remedial Massage, Sports Injury Therapy
Remedial massage is a goal orientated therapy. the idea is to assist the client in working out their individual goals and helping them to reach said goals.
remedial massage not only focusses on the pain symtoms which a client presents with, but also targets the possible causes and the potential compensation injuries assosiated with that pain symptom. this ensures that the treatment plan is spacific to each client and their symptoms and gives the best possibility of optomal and sustainable recovery.
short consultation. 30 minutes. this short treatment is for small spacific injuries, eg. mildly sore shoulder or sore neck. also, it can benefit those clients that find themselves to be extra sensitive to the pressures of a remedial massage. (mild post treatment discomfort is common but can be minamised by giving clear feedback to your therapist during treatment).
standard consultation. 60 minutes. a full hour remedial massage gives your therapist the time that he or she needs to work more comprehensivly through more severe or more numerous injuries. this is the most common length of remedial treatment.
long consultation. 90 minutes. the long consultation is for those clients who have long term and or multiple injuries. some clients prefer the long consultation as it can allow for the spacifics of the injury based remedial massage to be included in a full body massage. ( this is often a more intense treatment, not due to the pressure but more to do with the time available to be spent on each area.)
