Chlorine Training to NWP277A
Hydramet's popular Chlorine Operator training course has now been accredited to the equivalent unit in the Water Training Package. As part of the Certificate II in Water Operations, the qualification gained by attending the accredited Hydramet course is NWP277A, Work Safely with Liquefied Chlorine Gas. The course is designed for operators, maintenance personnel, management staff and others working on chlorine plants and those with a specific responsibility for disconnecting and connecting liquefied chlorine gas containers. The unit of competency covers the requirements for working safely with liquefied chlorine gas, including the safe changeover of gas containers, the safe transport, handling and storage of liquefied chlorine gas containers and the implementation of emergency procedures. Chlorine training presenters are professionals from Hydramet Pty Ltd with many years experience in the industry. All personnel who are directly involved in the operation and maintenance of chlorine systems shall be properly trained according the the Australian Standard AS2927: 2001: The Storage and Handling of Liquefied Chlorine Gas.
