Homes on 220 sqm?
Architecture, Illustration, Cad & Visualisation
That's right, homes on 220 sqm in a mid suburban 300 sqm locality. On a warm Friday afternoon in a meeting at one of North Adelaide's parkland restaurants phone rings. "It got up" my town planner informs me. A year long process with the project going from approval to refusal to 'don't know' until it landed in the ERD court for the only approval that really counts

The project was for a residential development on a 670sqm block of land. Council zoning required 300sqm allotments for homes but the locality suggested something different. By reinterpreting the regulations we found a way to justify three homes on that allotment and our logic was valid - as indicated by the ERD court decision.
Good design was an essential element and high quality 3D graphics played an integral role. Images of the proposal were prepared at all stages and for all variations of the design to illustrate to council the built form of the proposal.
