Fantastic photographic opportunites, active participation in the inflation and packing away of the balloon, champagne breakfast, flight certificates and most importantly..fun and professional staff!!
Our maximum is 16, but sometimes we get to the weight limit of the balloon before we get to the 16 passengers. If you have a group larger than 16, give us a call to discuss options.
We are available to fly seven days a week, all year round, weather permitting.
We meet approximately one hour before sunrise, so that time changes throughout the year.
What to bring:
A camera is a must. Photographers just love it.
What to wear:
Flat soled walking shoes, a hat, and reading glasses if you need them.
We meet at Peter Lehmann Wines winery, Para Road, Tanunda. Tanunda is about 75 Km North East of Adelaide - which is about 50 - 60 minutes drive from Adelaide city centre. The launch site is then chosen according to the wind speed and direction on the day. We then take all passengers to the given launch site where the balloon is inflated. Inflation takes about half an hour.
We fly down wind for approximately an hour. On landing the balloon is packed away and the retrieve crew picks us all up.
From the landing site we go to the nearest picnic spot for our champagne gourmet breakfast featuring a selection of the finest Barossa foods and good "ol' fashioned" home cooking.
After breakfast you are all certified as "Balloonatics" with the presentation of individual flight certificates. Take home a souvenir! We have caps, hats and photo on a disc of your adventure for sale.
The whole time you are actually with us is between 5 and 6 hours - from the time we pick you up from the meeting point to the time we drop you back at that same meeting point.
You should be able to bend your knees and hold on with both hands to the rope handles inside the basket.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority rules prevent us from carrying handicapped or disabled people.
