Blocked Drain, Emergency Plumbing
Considering the fact that both kitchen and bathroom sinks are used virtually every day, at one point in time they would clog or break down all together. Continuous usage and handling by many users contribute to their wear and tear. Clogging may occur any time due to accumulation of particles within the drainage pipes. Blockages can occur at some sections where quick repairs may not be easy.
Kitchen sinks tend to get clogged because of food debris. This can be especially true if there is no garbage disposal in the drain to dice up large pieces of food. The buildup of grease in the kitchen pipes can also cause a blockage, or it can cause the sink to drain slowly. These clogs can be tricky to get rid of. Since traditional chemicals may have a hard time breaking up the food and grease, so hiring a professional will ensure the job gets done perfectly.
Plumber Adelaide has extensive plumbing experience including fixing blocked drains.
Some sink designs come with a small garbage disposal unit which is suspended above the grease trap. The object of such design would be to facilitate crashing of food scraps before it enters the trap. Another waste pipe is linked to the grease trap through a different arm. This leads into a third pipe which empties its contents into the main drainage system. The main drainage piping goes down to join the underground main drainage system. It suffices to note that clogging can occur at any point along the system, but more often than not, blockages occur near the sink.
