Uniting Communities’ Homelink SA is a state wide program that recruits and supports Carers who are contracted to provide quality home-based accommodation and care to children from five years of age, young people and adults with a disability. Our program offers full-time, shared or respite care that is provided in the Carer’s home.
Young people and adults are referred to the Homelink SA program when they are unable to live with, or wish to live independently from their family or current arrangement. Homelink SA Carers are supported to nurture and provide the person placed in their care with a safe home environment and to encourage growth and opportunities for independence and the development of skills in community living.
Homelink SA Carers may be single adults, couples or families who have the capacity and expressed desire to share their home and their lives. Homelink SA Carers need to have a separate bedroom available to someone they are contracted to support.
