REMEDIAL - When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired, knotted, tense or immobile, Remedial Massage provides a healing treatment that can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow. Remedial massage holistically treats the whole body and traces the discomfort as far as possible back to the original cause, healing both the cause of the disorder as well as the symptoms

DEEP TISSUE -Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia.

MYOFACIAL RELEASE -Myofascial release consists of the gentle manual application of sustained pressure to release tissue that may be trapping  muscle and other tissues into a painful immobile position.  The intention of myofascial release is to provoke a natural body reaction called pizoelectric phenomena: the slow, sustained, gentle pressure of human touch causes soft tissues such as fascia to elongate and return to their normal state.

TRIGGER POINT - Are areas of hyperirritability in the soft tissue structure. These can be acute sources of pain or latent, unnoticed by the client until pressure is applied by the practitioner. Trigger points are manifested as small contraction knots in the muscles, that control the state of contraction and active ones may cause muscle spasm and referred pain
Treatment consists of physical therapy, manipulation and stretching. A firm digital pressure is applied by the practitioner, who is able to locate the specific points causing pain and restricted movement and these may often be located in places different to where the client actually feels the pain.

SPORTS INJURIES - Massage has become an integral part of the new athletic regimen. Growing numbers of trainers believe that massage will provide an extra edge to the athletes that participate in high performance sports. Massage has become a necessary ingredient for a complete workout. More and more people are realising that a complete workout routine includes not only the exercise itself, but also caring for the wear-and-tear and minor injuries that naturally occur with strenuous movement. The physiological and psychological benefits of massage make it an ideal complement to a total conditioning program

SWEDISH – Swedish Massage is a system of long strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, percussion, vibration and shaking motions that apply pressure between muscles and bones, rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Swedish Massage feels good, is relaxing and invigorating.

YOGA – is a physical, mental & spiritual discipline, a part of which includes breath control, simple meditation and the adoption of specific bodily postures.  Its purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health and happiness.

ACTIVE BIRTH YOGA CLASSES – ideally suited for pregnancy with natural childbirth in mind.  Prepare yourself and your partner for the experience of bringing your new born into this world.  Yoga postures, stretches, pelvic floor exercises, breathing, meditation, visualisations & guided meditations are practised and encouraged to enable a wonderful birthing experience.
