Permanent pleating of fashion fabrics by hand pattern pleating.  Sunray pleats, knife pleats, accordian pleats and more. Just about any fabric can be pleated but for the pleat to hold when washed it must have a minimum of 65% polyester content. There is really no such thing as permanent pleating. A heat process sets the pleat and a heat process can remove the pleat. Natural fibres such as cotton and silk will pleat beautifully but the pleat will not hold i.e. pleats will not stay if wet and can even dull or disappear in very humid situations. Natural fibres are also at risk of discolouring during the heat process. Small orders are my specialty. I also pleat and manufacture curtains for buses and motorhomes. These pleats are generally 2" accordian pleats and will stack back neatly at the edge of the window.
