The RAAF Amberley Redevelopment Stage 3 Project allowed for the enhancement of existing facilities and new facilities to provide increased operational requirements and to provide additional operational facilities to meet efficiencies and day-today operational requirements at RAAF Base Amberley. Element 1 A Design Contract partnering with Conrad Gargett Riddel architecture for the provision of a new Combined Mess facility and Live-in Accommodation within a new residential precinct off South Amberley Road at RAAF Base Amberley. Element 2 A Design Contract partnering with Conrad Gargett Riddel architecture for the provision of a new Physical Fitness Complex and training fields adjacent to the new Combined Mess and and Live-in Accommodation precinct off South Amberley Road at RAAF Base Amberley. The Physical Fitness Complex includes for administration, Multi-sports Hall, Gymnasium, Cardio Training, Squash Courts, 50m indoor swimming pool and a climbing wall. External training facilities includes an all weather running track, football [all codes] fields, tennis and volleyball courts. Element 3 A Design Contract partnering with Hassell architecture for the provision of a new Headquarters, operational and workshop facilities at RAAF Base Amberley. The facilities included: - Headquarters Combat Support Group - Base Information Systems Centre - Base Command Post - Additions to Medical Centre - Aviation Fuels Workshop, Administration and Fuel Tanker Shelters - MEOMS Workshop and supporting facilities - Security and Fire School Precinct - Liquid Dry Breathing Oxygen facility - Military Working Dogs Precinct

Australian Tropical Science Innovation Precinct

The main ATSIP building included Alternative Fire Engineered Solutions assessed against the Performance Requirements in the Building Code of Australia and International Fire Engineering Guidelines to reduce Fire Resistance Levels, Atrium Construction, non-fire isolated stairway and extended exit travel from the upper storey plantroom.
