A Design Management Contract partnering with Leighton Contractors and Conrad Gargett Riddel / Haysom Architects to provide new and refurbished aviation facilities, refurbishment of Squadron Headquarters and maintenance facilities for the new Australian Super Hornet [ASH] aircraft. The project provided a unique opportunity to deliver purpose built and refurbished facilities which allowed the introduction of the FA18F Super Hornet aircraft and meet the Squadron's day to day operational needs. Examples of included facilities: - 1 Squadron Headquarters and Aircraft Hangar - 6 Squadron Headquarters and Aircraft Hangar - ASH Aircraft Simulator facility - Intermediate Level Maintenance facility - Gunnery and Ejector Seat Workshop - Aircraft Washbay, External Fuel Tank storage - ASFITT Workshop and Spray Booth

The main ATSIP building included Alternative Fire Engineered Solutions assessed against the Performance Requirements in the Building Code of Australia and International Fire Engineering Guidelines to reduce Fire Resistance Levels, Atrium Construction, non-fire isolated stairway and extended exit travel from the upper storey plantroom.
