Attendance: Commission of Fire Safety Systems
National Building Certifiers attend the inspection of fire safety systems with the responding Fire Respponse Personnel and relevant Design Consultants and Licensed Contractors and proactively review Test and Commissioning reports and documentation from Licenced Contractors and Registered Engineers issued on satisfactory completion of building work.
National Building Certifiers attendance is to overview the test and commissioning of fire safety systems is completed with the Licensed Contractor, Registered Consultants and Fire Service Personnel.
The commissioning test is to review the performance of the installed and commissioned fire safety system to determine the installed systems meet the operational needs of the responding fire services, relevant Australian Standard Codes and building codes.
When an Alternative Solution has been approved for the building, the Fire Engineer must also review the installed and commissioned fire safety systems to ensure the installation and operation of the fire safety systems meets recommendations and requirements within the Alternative /solution Fire Engineering Reports.
At the completion of the commissioning of fire safety systems, National Building Certifiers proactively review Contractors and Consultants Construction Certificates, Test and Commissioning Reports and supporting documentation to verify the installations are consistent with the design documentation, current Legislation, Australian Standards and building codes.
