This tidal wall in NSW displayed extensive deterioration, including spalling and steel corrosion. The ingress of chlorides and other contaminants from the sea had worked to prematurely age the concrete. Hydrogel treatments were used in conjunction with conventional repair methods, to create a long-term solution.
