A 21 year old male from Arana Hills recently faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court after he was pciked up by police for unlicensed driving. The male who had recently moved houses instructed that he had agreed to a good behaviour licence for a period of 12 months. "My client was extremely surprised when he was told by police that he was unlicensed. He advised the State Penalty Enforcement Recovery Registry that he had moved and he firmly believed that they would notify Qld Transport. In the mean time he was caught doing 11km over the speed limit by a mobile speed camera, he never received the fine notice and kept driving without the knowledge that he had breached his good behaviour licence." Pine Rivers Traffic Lawyer Jamie Whitehead submitted. The court reduced the period of disqualification to 6 months and fined the male a small amount. "I know that there is a lesson there for us all with regards to advising the appropriate authorites, unlicensed driving is a serious problem, regardless of intent or not." Mr Whitehead advised.
