Large Digit Remote Displays are being used for displaying truck numbers at Boral’s new concrete batch plant at Artarmon in New South Wales. Supplied by Scale Components’ Brisbane branch, the remote displays are connected to an ALCON (USA) batching system and are used to call up trucks for loading when their specific load of concrete is ready.
The SC100 Remote Displays are fully Australian Made and available in either VAC or DC power inputs. A stainless steel IP65 housing is used to protect the electrical components when mounted externally or in aggressive environments exposed to chemicals and fertilisers.
Manufactured by Scale Components, the SC100 Remote Displays are pre-programmed to automatically identify serial strings from most standard digital weight indicators to minimise on-site installation times. These displays can also be manually configured using internal dip-switches and jumpers to accept serial data from almost any data source.
These remote displays accept serial inputs of RS-232, RS-422/485 and 20mA current loop for which it can be set for either active or passive loop operation. Five electro-mechanical (flip-flop) digits using fluorescent yellow on a black background ensures high visibility i under all lighting conditions.
