Amitabha Buddhist Retreat Centre Newsletter
Amitabha Buddhist Retreat Centre
Retreat, Meditation Retreats, Buddhist Meditation
The Amitabha Buddhist Retreat Centre also runs a free quarterly newsletter as well as the Sunday weekly Pure Land meditation sessions (which is Buddha name recitation) and the bi-monthly Pure Land Buddhist Retreats, . The ABRC newsletter contains the basic teachings of Pure Land Buddhist tradition, which also help us to understand the truth about the universal law of 'Cause and Effect' on a much deeper level and that in essence, we are all 'one part of a whole' and are interconnected with one another in spite of attitudes, values, belief systems and race, color or creed.
The aim of our ABRC newsletter is to promote Pure Land teachings as the bridge of understanding and awakening, and the basic teachings of Buddhism help us to realize that we simply reap what we sow. And therefore, to hurt others is truly to hurt ourselves and to love one another is to love one-self. If we continue to keep planting lemon trees we will keep reaping nothing but the fruit of lemons; and likewise, when we learn to start planting different causes we will definitely reap their fruits with the right timing and the right conditions. And so with a deeper understanding and an introspective mind, we can learn to re-shape our thinking and ultimately with the right thoughts and conditions to change our destiny, as we diligently learn to cultivate morality, equanimity, compassion and wisdom.
For those interested to receive our quarterly newsletter online, please write to us with your request to subscribe to our list of 'associate members and friends of the centre' by sending an email, either to: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. Or alternatively, you can peruse the newsletters at http://abrc-newspress.org
