What is the difference between authentic cultural Kahuna and the massage referred to as Kahuna or Lomi/Lomi massage we now find in many Day Spas?
in a Day Spa the walls are paper thin, Kahuna needs sound and total privacy for you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. Here we are not worrying about finishing on time because someone else is waiting. When the blockages begin to release we follow them through until they complete their journey. This can often take you beyond the allocated time for best benefit.
When the treatment is interrupted by requirement of time, the body feels incomplete. Kahuna is about taking it all the way to completion.
Kahuna translates to ‘loving hands’ massage, Massaging your entire being from inside out, ‘from the Kahuna’s heart to your heart that radiates love throughout the entire body’ promoting and maintaining wellness, relieving pain, including fractures and dislocations (as I personally experienced in one of my training retreats) as well as assisting with internal conditions, and decongesting the body in doing so supporting mental and emotional connection.
