I am a professional Celebrant since 2001 and I love working with couples to create a sacred beginning to their married life. The wedding ceremony can set the theme for a wondrous day of love and laughter. I am able to assist couples to write their vows to each other as I have many examples so that the love you have for each other can be expressed in a way that is comfortable to you both.
A Civil Celebrant is a person who conducts ceremonies with or without religious elements. It is up to the couples whether they wish to include religious significance to ceremony. Many weddings are conducted in places outside buildings, in parks, on mountain tops, on the beach or in gardens.
As a Celebrant I also conduct baby namings, renewals, commitment ceremonies and funeral services. A baby naming is held as an acknowledgement of the love that a family expresses as a precious new life is added to the family unit. It is a time to give blessings for the life's journey for the child.
A funeral is a very sacred time. It is a time to get together to celebrate the life of the person who is deceased and to share memories and love. A funeral service can be a great comfort to those who are grieving as participants gather to support and nurture loved ones.
Today an important ceremony is that of a Commitment Ceremony. This is a wonderful opportunity to publicly declare your love for your partner and to make that firm commitment to spend the rest of your lives together.
Couples often like to renew their marriage vows particularly when it is an anniversary or often when one partner may have become quite ill. It is a declaration of love between two people who have lived as one in the bonds of marriage.
