Rain and unsealed driveways don't mix!  This is a driveway we have been repairing from major rain and drainage problems due the fact that its base was only made up of rock and clay, no drainage and a lot of rain.
Once the rain had stopped, the area had somewhat dried out we could then begin the excavation process of removing the subsoil of dirt and clay and replace with a more appropriate road base at a depth a little more substantial to a standard driveway.  Underneath the the road base we first put down a layer of geofabric to help prevent any further water/moisture from working its way up though the rock which can cause possible failed areas in the asphalt later down the track.
Once this areas was all compacted and rolled we could then apply the emulsion and asphalt layer resulting in a long lasting, extremely durable new asphalt driveway for our clients.
