The Seventh Battalion AIF - Resume of Activities of the Seventh Battalion in the Great War 1914-1918 ' by A. Dean & E. Gutteridge. This is the Official Battalion History compiled and written by Dean & Gutteridge in association with the 7th Battalion History Committee. Gutteridge was for sometime the Medical Officer for the 7th Battalion. He served on Gallipoli and the Western Front. Dean joined in July 1915 he worked his way up through the ranks becoming Lieutenant. He was wounded twice, GSW at Broodseinde in 1917 and then gassed. After the war he was admitted to the Bar, finally becoming a High Court Judge in 1949. He was Knighted in 1960 and died in 1970. The book was first published in 1933. The book for sale is a professionally produced facsimile reprint of that history. Follows the 7th Battalion 1st AIF history from its formation in Victoria. The 7th was a Territorial Battalion thus members were from both Melbourne and country Victoria - Bendigo being well represented. Training Broadmeadows Victoria Egypt First day landing Battalion on ANZAC Gallipoli and the many Battles on the Western Front. Has full listed soldier named Nominal Roll.
