At JHSS, our motto "Learning For Life" is at the core of everything we teach your children. We have approachable, dedicated teachers, and exceptional reports of student and parent satisfaction with all aspects of the school.
The school has a reputation for educational achievement in a caring environment. It is held in high regard by the community and has been the focus of innovative change in the areas of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, and School Management.
The school offers curriculum focusing upon Numeracy, Literacy, Learning Technology and Language Other Than English (LOTE). Extra curricular programmes provide students with experience in a range of activities which help to build a positive self-esteem.
Visually impaired students enrolled at Jamboree Heights State School and throughout the Metropolitan West Region are supported by a full-time Teacher-in-Charge and staff who work from a Unit based on the campus.
The school has classrooms of single and double teaching space design, several demountable buildings, a double unit Prep, 400 seat multi-purpose hall with stage kitchen and disabled access, Tuckshop, Library with advanced Media and IT Centre and an Administration Block (including a unit for the Visually Impaired students).
Our sporting facilities include a Swimming Pool, Cricket practice nets, 2 Multi Purpose Courts, two covered games areas, sporting oval, two adventure playground areas and a new multi purpose astro-turfed junior playing field.
We have strong parent support in our P &C with great sub-committees for a range of different interests:
