This course is aimed at ensuring the health and safety of personnel who have to undertake work activities within a confined space as defined by AS/NZS 2865:2009.
It provides personnel with information on their responsibilities with regard to Duty of Care, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Mine Safety and Inspection Act. It provides a guide to planning and entering confined spaces for employees and contractors by utilising the risk assessment process to identify hazards and applying the appropriate controls using Hierarchy of Control. It informs persons of the requirements in rescue, training, isolation, ventilation, atmospheric testing, standby duties and entry permits to the confined space. See for further information
