Overview
The Amphenol Ecomate are rugged, waterproof rated to IP65 and IP67, with contact arrangements 3 + PE and 6 + PE for power and signal applications.
The Amphenol Ecomate series replaces and can be mated with the original Amphenol C16 connectors.
The main difference from the old series is that the backshell and sealing gland has been re-designed to accommodate a larger range of cables. There is only one backshell type now (one size fits all).

Features
New cable screw connection with clamping ring.
Strain relief and mounted gasket all in one component.
Ergonomically shaped handle for a better grip and safer handling.
Fastening for the protective caps on the receptacle housing.
Circular connectors with contact arrangements 3 + PE (16A) and 6 + PE (10A) for power and signal applications.
Waterproof connectors with a protection degree of IP65 & IP67 per DIN EN60526 in mated condition.
(Note: IP65 and IP67 apply to different situations and are assessed independently.
All of the Ecomate connectors are rated for both IP65 and IP67).
Housings are made from high grade plastic material.
Straight or right angle backshell with one sealing gland accommodating cable sizes from 6mm to 12.5mm outside diameter.
Vibration safe connection through stable and non-sensitive screw locking.
Internal strain relief with screw clamp on clamping ring provides safe cable restraint.
Suitable for many applications such as in machine tools, measurement and control, process technology and medical equipment.

Additional Features
The 6 + PE model corresponds to DIN 9684-1 interface to the signal transmission on agricultural machines and tractors.
Housing material is in accordance with DIN 5510-2 (This is a standard relating to the flammability of an item).

5 = Protected against water jets.(Water projected in jets against the enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects)(A probe of 1mm diameter shall not penetrate. No intrusion of dust) IP67

= Protected against access to hazardous parts with a wire (Dust-tight).
7 = Protected against the effects of temporary immersion in water.(Intrusion of water in quantities causing harmful effects shall not be possible when the enclosure is temporarily immersed in water for 30 mins at a depth of 1m)
