Laird-Jim's Cross Stitch Charts
Charts, Counted Cross Stitch
for only $14.95 plus p&h you can
have those treasured photographs of family members, holidays, family pet or vehicle converted to a cross stitch chart.
Just email me your photo as a jpeg and in a few days, on completion of your chart, you will be able to begin stitching right away. (this usually takes 3 - 10 days depending on the complexity of the conversion involved)
Your purchase will consist of the following items:
an easy to read black and white chart
a coloured picture simulating the finished cross stitch
instructions for stitching: from beginner to enthusiast
a key for your chart which includes colour, catalogue number, brand, etc.
notes and material type
a plan showing how the chart pages fit together.
plus a copy of the completed chart in pdf emailed to you.
all printed on quality A4 paper and packaged in a protective sleeve.
Your cross-stitch chart will be
Designed on 18count Aida,
Finished size approximately 10inch x 12inch
Using up to 40 colours of DMC thread.
Remember the smaller stitch and more colours give better detail. Backstitch is not used as the fine stitch gives the detail.
On completion of the conversion I will mail your chart complete with a simulated picture of your cross stitch as it would appear as a finished cross stitch.
FOR BEST RESULTS
Use only clear sharp pictures with a plain background, Any image you plan to use should be saved at approximately 300-dpi or better at 100% output size for the very best printing results, this will improve the quality of your photo which will directly reflect the quality of the finished design.
Conversions can be done from photos, slides or transparencies, or email a jpeg as an attachment. However we can not accept responsibility for photos lost or damaged in the mail.
Colour or black & white photographs
Not too busy or cluttered, bold colours & plain background.
If requested I can remove background and/or merge photographs.
Good contrast, plenty of light and dark areas
Remember some of the colours you will be using may not be evident in the photo. This is because you are painting with thread, thus giving the illusion of a painting when finished.
PLEASE NOTE: If you chose to mail a photo to me then I would advise using a copy, NOT the original, as responsibility can not be accepted for loss or damage. The safest way is to email your picture to me.
