The Federal Government announced in their May budget a decrease in traineeship funding from $4,000 to  $3,000. This change affects those industries not contained on the

On the July 1, 2012,  the changes to this funding came in effect.

Another significant change to traineeship funding is the removal of the commencement claim. Previously clients were able to claim $1,500 of the $4,000 three months after the commencement of a traineeship funding program. The entire funding amount is now paid on completion of the qualification by each participant.

This change does apply to the Competitive Manufacturing (CM) and Competitive Systems and Practices (CSP) qualifications. However, as our clients have already experienced, the productivity gains from the CM and CSP programs far outweigh any training costs associated.

In some states Glass and Glazing qualifications still attract funding of up to $4,500.

Please contact or on 1800 886 269 for more information on funding.
