Multi-award winning housing developer Ausbuild has again won the Housing Industry of Australia's top Queensland honour for the fourth time in five years.
Recognised for its outstanding achievements in the industry, Ausbuild won the hotly contested award for Queensland Professional Builder of the Year - Major Builder Award at the 2010 HIA-CSR Queensland Housing Awards held on Friday November 5.
Ausbuild joint Managing Director Matthew Bell said the company was proud to have won the industry award which acknowledged excellence in customer care, housing design and innovation, quality construction and commitment to the environment.
"This award proves we stand by the reputation we've built and to be recognised by the industry's peak body is a great honour," Mr Bell said.
"We have won the top award in 2006, 2008, 2009, and now 2010, which really demonstrates our ongoing commitment to building quality homes for Queenslanders."
The HIA awards recognise the achievements of companies and individuals who lead the way in the design, construction, innovation and technology of housing.
Mr Bell said Ausbuild received accolades for its seven core values of quality, communication, integrity, service, timeframes, innovative design and culture.
"We don't just meet Australian Building Standards - we beat them," Mr Bell said.
"Ausbuild has a 75 point process which ensures the highest possible quality in building, setting us ahead of the industry."
Ausbuild was also recognised for its customer care and "Building With You" philosophy, which promotes better communication and increased client satisfaction.
"We work hard to foster a personal relationship so that the client feels welcome during all stages of the construction process," Mr Bell said.
"Our client liaison officers make contact with all customers at least once a week, throughout the building process to identify any issues that may arise.
"From the day a customer walks in the door, to the day we hand over the keys, we try to make the whole experience as stress free as possible."
Established in Queensland since 1988, Ausbuild offers a diverse range of housing options, including affordable townhouses, low-set and two-storey designs and homes to suit narrow frontage blocks.
Mr Bell said clients could choose from house and land packages, custom built homes on their own land, and fully completed turn-key homes.
Ausbuild is also a leader in its commitment to the environment, with its 8-star energy efficient housing display homes at Fitzgibbon and Victoria Point now open.
"By harnessing 22 years of knowledge and experience with a leading in-house product and development design team, Ausbuild remains at the forefront of innovation and design," he said.
"In the last 12 months we've focused on providing affordable narrow block and attached-style homes on individual land titles in key locations across south east Queensland to meet a growing demand in the market."
The award also recognised the company's extensive apprenticeship and staff training program.
Ausbuild will now represent Queensland in the Professional Builder Award in the Australian Housing Awards to be held on the Gold Coast in May 2010.
