Sunshine Coast Business develops life saving robot

Praesidium Global a Caloundra based manufacturer of unmanned ground vehicles has been selected to demonstrate its life saving robotic platform to the Army under the Army Innovation Day 2016 in Canberra. Through the AID 2016 program, Army is seeking to explore innovative solutions that will enhance capability whilst reducing the exposure of its personnel to increased risk. Praesidium Global pty ltd have designed and manufactured an unmanned ground vehicle that is designed to extract casualties from hazardous areas, such as those encountered in tactical operational areas. The ACE system (Assisted Casualty Extraction) comprises of our remotely operated electrically driven 6 wheeled all terrain platform designed in house and assembled at our facility in Caloundra, Queensland. The chassis is constructed from precision laser cut steel, the platform supports a modular sub assembly robotic effector arm which is also remotely operated, the platform is designed to utilize our range of sub assemblies currently in development such as, mine and Improvised Explosive Detection Radar.
