The Queensland Wildlife Carers and Volunteers Association Inc is a registered charity dedicated to native wildlife. We rescue, and care for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild. We are based in Bundaberg but have members in Gin Gin, Childers, Agnes Water, Rosedale and surrounding areas. We are always looking for more helpers who are dedicated, sensible and caring people. Perhaps you are retired or no longer working and would like the joy and satisfaction of caring for wildlife that are sick, injured or orphaned. All animals must be released when ready so must not be raised as pets or allowed to mix with dogs or cats which will be their predators when released. Caring for our wonderful wildlife is a big commitment but if you are interested in becoming a wildlife carer please contact Christine on 4159 6431 or Judy on 4156 5382. We also need people to assist with rescue/transport such as taking an animal to a vet (no fees) or carer. We would be particularly interested in hearing from people living in outlying suburbs such as Burnett Heads and Moore Park.
