The Hopi Candle is lit and placed in the ear canal while the patient is lying on their side. The flame creates a gentle vacuum effect, which draws wax and debris into the hollow candle for disposal. The patient hears gentle rustling and crackling noises during the treatment, and may feel a flow of heat which is said to be very soothing.
