Pick up from Brisbane City hotels will be between 8:00 – 8:15 am.

Our first stop is the summit of nearby Mt Coot-tha – Brisbane’s highest point. With 360 degree views over Brisbane you will have the opportunity to take some photos and get an overview of where we will be travelling today.

Option: Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mt Coot-tha or Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

Our next stop is either Brisbane Botanic Gardens or Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary – the largest and oldest Koala Sanctuary in the world. There are also kangaroos, wombats, possums, dingoes, Tasmanian devils and the elusive platypus. We will spend approximately 2 hours here – with our morning tea stop included.

If you have chosen the gardens instead, you can wander through the arid and cactus zone, bonsai house, fern house, herb garden, Japanese garden, lagoon and bamboo grove, rainforest area, or the tropical display dome. There is also a café for refreshments and light meals.

Next we visit the Dr Red Vineyard at Mt Nebo which is situated on the eastern side of Brisbane Forest Park overlooking Samford Valley. As well as grape vines, the property is planted with coffee and olive trees which are used in the range of products that you will be able to sample.

Our lunch stop will be at Mt Glorious - a little village in the heart of the rainforest situated in the D’Aguilar Range. This National Park area is Maiala which means 'quiet place'.

After lunch we travel through the picturesque Samford Valley on our way to Redcliffe. If time permits, we will stop at either the Samford Historical Trail or The Slab Hut Gallery.

Next stop is Redcliffe – Queensland’s first European settlement city - on the northern side of Moreton Bay. This is a popular seaside location with locals. We will spend time here exploring “Bee Gees Way”- a Tribute to the World Famous Pop Group, who lived in the region. We will have our afternoon tea stop in this area before heading back to Brisbane.

Our final stop is Southbank Parklands where you will be given some time to explore. You may choose to ride The Wheel of Brisbane (additional cost) or just stroll through the arbour or along the river bank.
On the way back to your hotel, we will travel past various historic buildings.
