“Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008”
As we do for all of our clients that we have carried out work for in the field of Occupational Health and Safety when there are changes to the legislations that apply to any of our valued businesses we inform them as we are now doing to you.
In July 2008 the regulations stated above changed and there is a time frame of 12 months or July 2009 to become compliant.
The way that this affects your business is in the fact that there is now the requirement to have an accredited Fire Safety Adviser (FSA). High Occupancy buildings will be required to appoint a Fire Safety Adviser. This role is for an accredited person through the Queensland Fire and Safety Rescue and a registered RTO.
As the owner of, or occupier of, or responsible for the occupancy of, a high occupancy building under the Classification of Building and Structures we are bringing this requirement to your attention.
If we have been able to alert you to this new process then we have achieved our information gathering role. If you already are aware of this, then we thank you for your past support.
However if there is something that we can help you with by carrying out this service for you as a contacted role then we are most happy to discuss further.
All of our team are qualified FSAs and can continue to help our valued past, present and future clients.
Please feel free to call and discuss further.
