Following fourteen years of the hugely popular Stomping Ground Summer Program, Zen Zen Zo is now offering Winter Stomp: Training to Performance
each year, with a focus on the Art of Directing and devising for
physical theatre. Over two weeks, Winter Stomp explores Zen Zen Zo’s
core method for creating new works (Composition), as well as allowing
participants to gain valuable skills via daily training in Butoh and the
Viewpoints. The program will also include a series of "Key Ideas"
seminars, which will explore several paradigms for theatrical creation
and devising work, theatre history and the work of prominent

refine their artistic practice by incorporating methodologies practiced

Stomping Ground participants, but is also suitable for newcomers.
The program will be mentally and physically
challenging and participants should be over 18 and come prepared to work hard.
