WHAT IS PAINTLESS DENT REMOVAL (PDR)?
PDR is the superior alternative to time consuming and costly body work. Dings and dents disappear without the use of sanding, body fillers or paint ……. at a fraction of the cost!
PDR is the art of using specialised tools to remove minor dents, creases, and door dings by getting behind the damage and meticulously pushing the metal back until the damaged area is undetectable.
PDR can remove minor dents, door dings and hail damage, without affecting the original factory finish of your vehicle. Most of the dents we remove are caused by shopping trolleys, the careless opening of a door or something falling against the car.
Our PDR process ensures the paintwork remains original and unaltered in any way. There is no risk of colour mismatch, overspray or surface contamination; and the manufacturer's warranty remains intact.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PDR?
Maintaining Residual Values
According to statistics, the value of a used car can drop as much as 15% by the presence of cosmetic dents and blemishes.
Repairs are significantly cheaper than traditional panel beating methods, resulting in savings up to 70%.
By maintaining the appearanceof your vehicle, it retains that “new car” look and increases the re-sale value.
Most dent repairs can becompleted within an hour.
As the original finish is preserved, there is no conflict with the manufacturer’s warranty.
As no materials are required to remove the dents, no chemicals are involved - resulting in no harmful emissions.
WHEN CAN’T THE PDR PROCESS BE USED?
PDR works on virtually all panels of a vehicle, except in the following situations:
If the damage is too close to adoor edge, fender, hood, quarter panel, trunk, or roof; PDR probably won’tremove the dent 100%. These areas contain ‘double metal’, which limits air space and tool accessibility, making it difficult to remove the dent completely.
If there is cracked, fractured or missing paint at the core of the damage or dent, panel beating repairs may be required.
PDR won’t work on pillar panels, rocker panels, plastic or metal bumpers. However, we can repair these damaged areas the traditional way i.e. panel beating repairs.
