Project: Perth Indoor Sports and Entertainment Arena, WA Architect: Ashton Raggatt McDougal Cameron Chisholm & Nicol Membrane: ProctorWrap AT Proctor Probond Flex Tape Application: Perth Arena will be a jewel in the crown of the city’s premier entertainment precinct, driving the revitalization of the area and re-establishing a connection between the city’s commercial and entertainment hubs. This iconic building will provide a world class facility attracting national and international sporting and entertainment events to Perth. ProctorWrap Air Tight (AT) breathable membrane has been used to prevent interstitial condensation forming behind the Aluminium composite facade. ProctorWrap AT is a triple layer polypropylene textile developed primarily as a breather membrane for use in timber and steel frame wall construction behind rainscreen claddings. Unlike foil products, the high water vapour ProctorWrap AT was specified because unlike typical perforate foil products it can provide an air and moisture tight layer, at the same time as allowing for over 25 times the amount of water vapour to pass through the material.

St Patrick's College Roof Refurbishment

As part of this refurbishment, Proctor’s Roofshield breathable membrane was retrofitted by roofing restoration experts, Westwood Roofing. Proctor Roofshield is a 3-ply spun bonded polypropylene fabric that is used as a breathing underlayment for roof systems. It is UV stabilized, rot proof and tear resistant.

Proctor Roofshield and ProctorWrap HP were selected as the roofing and wall underlays due to their high vapour permeability. The membranes provide temporary waterproofing during construction and a secondary water-proofing layer for the life of the building preventing moisture ingress into the structure from wind driven rain.
