If you are looking for an entry level job to work operate plant and equipment in construction and mining industries, then getting a Dogman / Dogging ticket or licence is essential.
This Dogman ticket course delivers the skills and knowledge required to undertake Dogging work, using both hand and whistle signals, for the purpose of shifting loads mechanically.
During this dogging course, operators are trained and assessed against the WHS Regulation 2011. The course includes selecting sling types and sizes, determining safe work loads and maintaining the stability of the load, mathematical equations and hand / whistle signals.
Participants are trained by our qualified and experienced staff in both theory and practical aspects of Dogging while using a slewing mobile crane.
Course content and topics include:
- Plan and prepare worksite
- Select and inspect dogging equipment
- Sling loads
- Perform tasks / shift loads
- Remove dogging equipment
- Shut down and clean work area
On successful completion of training and assessment, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment – CPCCLDG3001A Licence to Perform Dogging and a National Licence to Perform High Risk Work (Class DG).
Should you wish to get your basic riggers ticket down the track, then this course is the prerequisite for progressing to CPCCLRG3001A Licence to Perform Rigging – Basic Level
High Risk Work (HRW) Licences are valid for 5 years from the date of issue. To receive your WorkCover HRW licence, applicants must lodge their HRW assessment paperwork at an Australia Post outlet together with a passport sized photo and pay the prescribed WorkCover processing fee within 60 days of the final HRW assessment
