The Transition to Work Program is a two year funded program for the school leaver which aims to develop living, educational, pre-vocational and recreational skills. These skills can then be utilised in employment and education.

Features of The Leisure Company’s Transition to Work Program include:

ØImplementing an Individual Transition Plan (ITP) to work towards individual goals. Strategies are developed to achieve outcomes and are timetabled into the participant’s individualised program.

ØProviding pre-vocational training and education to increase opportunities to access employment. This will include linkages with employment and education providers such as Sureway, , ATEL, Job Network , TAFE and .

ØProviding a range of life skills training in individual and group settings such as budgeting, computer skills and literacy and numeracy skills.

ØProviding a range of job ready skills such as training in resumes, mock interviews and job applications.

ØProviding work experience placements within the community to gain experience and interest in a variety of fields.

ØProviding access to recreational activities.
