Testpoint Services were engaged as a rescue squad team for a large Australian Development team, struggling to identify and reproduce major problem areas with their online system, costing the organisation over 200 thousand dollars per month in lost revenue.
Within the first week Testpoint successfully worked closely with onsite project managers to get a grip on the schedule including high risk areas that were important for the business.
Week 1, Testpoint was successful in producing a clear map of critical test cases and configurations necessary for verification prior to any build sign-off. All Existing and New Test Cases were identified utilising work shop meetings, design reviews, one to one meetings with business analysts and other stake holders.
Test Cases were then imported into Testpoint's Software Testing Management solution (Stream Test Pro) and within hours the business and project team were informed of the effort required and most importantly the road map to ensure Quality would be implemented and Incidents would be identified before releasing any software to production.
By week 2, Testers were on the job executing assigned Test Plans providing clear evidence of passed and failed steps utilising Stream Test Pro's advanced capture and validation features which provide real time results, progress and user friendly validation steps for the Business and Development team to monitor. At the same time, critical verification logs, database transactions and screen shots were captured and linked to test logs helping the development team address every important event required to correct issues. Online execution results were automatically linked to the clients Incident and Project Management JIRA solution, which were generated by Stream Test Pro helping the entire team with traceability of issues and re-testing effort based on severity issues.
By Week 3
The business was now in full control and could finally capture the effort and manage the development necessary to resolve critical production issues that were existing for over 6 months in production with no hope for success until the deployment of TestPoint's Test Management team and Solution.
