Criminal, Civil or Tribunal Defence
Sydney Private Investigator: Ex-police and experienced private detectives.
Criminal Law places a high standard on the prosecution, generally. They must prove the elements of an offence to the standard of beyond reasonable doubt. The prosecution must also disclose the facts they rely on. We take those facts, break them down and pursue the lines of inquiry the investigators failed to follow, we gather the evidence they ignored and the witnesses they didn't bother to find. We prepare the defence case for presentation in court.
Civil Law and Tribunals generally have a lower standard of proof, on the balance of probability. This means that the person bringing the action has only to show on the balance of probability something happened or someone did it to prove their case. We provide the investigative skills and guidance to put the balance of probability in your favour.
The difference between an investigator and a solicitor is that we go out and seek the evidence. The solicitor or barrister generally deals with the evidence presented to them and focusses on the theatre of court.
