Corporate Events, Communication Skills, Public Speaking Training
This session is ideal for seminars, management planning days and other occasions where an entertaining yet valuable training session is required.
Executives are briefed on some of the essential techniques utilised by master communicators to persuade, motivate and inspire an audience. They will leave the session knowing at least half-a-dozen rhetorical and performance techniques that they too, can easily use to power up their speeches or team talks.
“Managers manage, leaders inspire.”
A key difference between leaders and managers is that leaders have the skills to verbally communicate their visions, beliefs and goals in an emotionally engaging and inspiring manner. In doing so, they create ‘emotional contagion,’ and this in turn, creates followers.
During the session, videos of great speeches by Martin Luther King, JF Kennedy and some inspiring team speeches from Hollywood films are used to demonstrate not only the rhetorical and performance techniques used to great effect but also the strategies leveraged to win over the audience.
Unique Program Design & Content:
▪ Video extracts from great political, social and sporting speeches
▪ Highlighting of the some of the rhetorical techniques used e.g. antithesis, repetition, contrast, metaphors...and the contrapuntal turnaround!
▪ An interactive exercise that engages course participants and deepens learning
The executive briefing can be conducted as a working breakfast, pre-dinner activity, stand-alone seminar, or as part of an executive planning session.
