The tale of a sunny painting with a shady past - how an owner recovered 'Girl in Sunlight ' by Bunny

Painting and artworks are notoriously difficult to find if they have been stolen. The law erects a barrier against recoveries, by setting a six year period for claims under the Statute of Limitations. This seems to favour the thief, who can hide the painting for six years. But not so fast! The law states that if fraud has been involved, then the time period does not start until the owner discovers the fraud. Which brings us to the stolen Rupert Bunny painting - Girl in Sunlight. Copy this link to my article on how the owner recovered the painting, many years after it was stolen.
