ACT Health Master Data System delivered at top speed by Bizcaps

ACT Health will minimise medical ordering errors and reduce data administration workload after the recent implementation of a product catalogue synchronisation process that is the first of its kind in Australia.   An initiative of NEHTA, the new system was developed by Bizcaps, a cutting-edge Australian software company that helps create and maintain the product data catalogues of some of Australia’s largest organisations.   ACT Health expect the MCIS to dramatically improve their purchasing and distribution processes, and the safety of patients, by ensuring the right products are purchased at the right price and delivered at the right time and place.   The new Master Catalogue Information System (MCIS) allows ACT Health Supply Services to streamline their procurement processes through close integration of the NEHTA-established National Product Catalogue (NPC), with their own Purchasing Information System (PICS), to synchronise product and price information for purchasing medical supplies.   Lightning-fast implementation was achieved, with the final solution specification signed off in March this year and the project completed at the end of May. Configuration of standard Bizcaps product “engines” was the key to the speedy result.   The Bizcaps product was designed for easy configuration by clients, and can also synchronise data with multiple existing client systems, with minimal set-up. MCIS  includes fully-customisable reporting and uses powerful workflow elements to manage subsequent routing and use of the data.   Wholly Australian-owned, Bizcaps are specialist providers of software to provide access to the GS1net and NPC datapools, now the primary and repository of product data for sellers and buyers in the grocery, liquor, healthcare, office products, and hardware markets. Bizcaps provides catalogue and master data management services for both suppliers and buyers, of all sizes.   End-   For more information, photographs or to arrange an interview with Bizcaps CEO Rob Clifton-Steele, contact:   Jane Blinco, Bizcaps Pty Ltd      Ph 02 9252 7533   Mob 0439 026 059  email: [email protected]
