The PTronik pMC is a self contained process controller for industrial dust collectors that continuously monitors the condition of a dust collector filters and automatically controls and manages the filter cleaning process to:
- Optimise plant operating efficiencies reducing plant downtime by up to 40%
- Minimise operating costs - saving between 40 to 70% in energy costs alone

The pMC continuously collects data from a variety of installed sensors measuring key metrics including; header pressure, inside filter/outside filter differential pressures, hopper temperature, humidity and level, dust particles. The pMC then compares real time plant performance data to a predetermined set of optimum criteria and, through its inbuilt logic, determines the appropriate point in time to automatically triggering ‘pulse’ cleaning - the result is optimised On Demand cleaning. Data collected during the process is employed to deliver simple but effective user telemetry illustrating plant performance and cleaning regimes. The on board data logging facility collects and stores the data for real time reporting and for subsequent process analysis and improvement by engineering personnel.
The operation of the pMC can be fully automated – working within pre determined criteria, semi automatic or manual with the option of user intervention.
The pMC also contains a number of user-definable ALARMS to notify engineering staff of any out of range conditions that might require intervention, or any catastrophic conditions, such as damaged filters that might require immediate remedial intervention or plant shut down. In all cases the pMC can be controlled locally or on-line via internet cable or wireless connection.
The pMC is available in two forms. Either as a standalone Control and Communication System for retro fitting into existing Dust Collector installations or as a Software and Embedded Systems solution for integration as an OEM component of new Dust collector installations.
