Intensive therapy blocks and preparation for school sessions are held during school holiday periods. Your child can attend 3 or 4 therapy sessions a week working on the specific areas of communication or literacy he/she is having difficulty with. Programs are individualised and follow an initial assessment to determine the therapy needs of your child.
Phone or email Catherine if you wish to book your child in or if you wish to determine if this block would suit your child.

Pre-school Assessments

The 12 to 18 months before commencing school is the optimal time to target speech and language difficulties. Difficulties with speech sounds can affect a child's ability to understand letters and sounds for reading/ spelling. Difficulties with understanding or using language can also affect their progress at school and socially with their peers. Children with these concerns would benefit from the speech therapy with Catherine Downs in order to prepare them for learning to read and write.
