What is involved in a program and it’s planning? Sometimes it might look as if the children are just running around and having fun; it seems as if no thought has been invested in what they are doing. However this is not the case. A lot of time and effort goes into planning a suitable program and routine for each room and the individual child. At Kiddie Garden Daycare we program for children's strengths and interests with a focus on ensuring families have valuable input into their children’s day and high quality early childhood programs. We are of the strong belief that children are competent, able and resourceful learners and are capable of directing their own learning. We work alongside our children, co-constructing learning through inquiry and research to find the many answers that they have about how their world works. We also respect that all children develop at different rates and that development is influenced by the experiences and values that children grow up with. Play-Based Learning Here at Kiddie Garden, we pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere and environment where play is valued. Through play children learn a variety of social, communicative and cognitive skills and dispositions. The program is inclusive and reflective of children's strengths and interest, families feedback and the philosophy and goals of the centre. Our Program includes stimulating indoor and outdoor learning experiences which include quiet and active times, individual, small group and large group experiences, in addition our programs are flexible and allow for spontaneous experiences and intentional teachings. Early Years Learning Framework At Kiddie Garden Daycare, we embrace the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). This framework ensures that the children in our care experience quality teaching and learning. Its emphasis is on play based learning, with recognition of the great importance of communication and language, as well as social and emotional development. We recognise parents as primary educators. In working in partnership with our families, we provide opportunities for every child to maximise their potential. Through implementing the EYLF in our program, we are helping your child to develop:  a strong sense of identity  connections with their world  a strong sense of wellbeing  confidence and involvement in their learning  effective communication skills
