Energy Action CEO Nominated for Prestigious 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award

Energy Action CEO, Valerie Duncan, has been recognised as one of Australia’s top entrepreneurs, in her nomination for this year’s Australian Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year is considered the world’s most prestigious business award, run in more than 50 countries globally.

Valerie has been chosen as part of a select group of 79 Australian entrepreneurs, which includes individuals from fields as diverse as shoes, beer brewing, emergency international security, pet products, gas exploration and development, and medical supplies.

Nominated in the Eastern Region (NSW & ACT) Valerie will first vie for regional award honours, to be announced on Thursday 23 June, 2011.  If successful, she will then compete for the national title in November.

The 2011 Australian winner will travel to Monte Carlo in 2012 to join an elite list of the very best entrepreneurs from around the globe to contend for the title of Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year.

Previous Australian winners include the entrepreneurial brains behind businesses such as Atlassian, and Res Med, while past World Entrepreneur of the Year winners have included the founders of Amazon and IKEA.
