Bowen Therapy is a series of very gentle moves (“Bowen Moves”) made by rolling the thumbs or fingers across muscles, tendons or ligaments. They are a neuro-muscular rollover technique that is highly effective in producing a regenarative effect to nerve muscle bundles, clearing pain and bringing the body back to it’s own homeostasis (natural inner state) before the accident, injury or postural habit pattern. The order in which these moves are made is very specific and act to loosen the tissue, initiating a relaxation of the muscle and paving the way for a re-alignment of the body. Bowen moves reduce nerve pressure and promote healing. Myopractic works on the principle that “muscles move bones”. There is always a corresponding muscle dysfunction to any bone misalignment, which is the main cause of pain and discomfort. Myopractic is an advanced form of musculo-skeletal bodywork which achieves long term relief. Myopractic corrects muscles spasms, relieves tension and realigns the skeletal frame and body. Bowen Therapy/Myopractic can help with conditions such as: frozen shoulder, neck issues-headaches, migraines, carpal tunnel, RSI, back pain, low back/sciatic, respiratory problems/allergies, knee, ankle and foot problems.
