Northbridge Meditation Group is beginning its meditation course, "Respect and 15 Other Tasty Treats", from Monday, 4th February 2013. Running for 6 weeks on Monday evenings, 7pm-8pm, the course is an introduction to the '16 Guidelines for Life'. The course will cover introductory meditation instructions and guided meditation, suitable for beginners and seasoned meditators wishing to refresh their practice.
The 16 Guidelines are a modern implementation of an ancient Tibetan text . The guidelines are a direct and practical tool for anyone who wants to lead a happier, more meaningful life. This current theme is "How We Relate to Others" and will cover the guidelines Respect, Forgiveness, Gratitude and Loyalty.
Meditation is a very practical and simple way to train our minds to become familiar with the positive mind states and to deal effectively with our stress, anger and negative thoughts. Meditation can help to bring forth a happy mind that contributes to a happy life. Learn how to meditate in this course and apply it in our daily life. Suitable for new and experienced students.
