A CASE OF IDENTITY
This case highlights the importance of cyber safety with social networking, the dangers of drink spiking and the consequences of taking risks. Who did Sally meet near the beach and how did she die?
A 17 year old school girl is found lying dead on the ground in a disused military bunker. The girl's parents reported her missing four days prior when she failed to return home from school. There are signs of a struggle and a substantial wound to the head appears to be the cause of death.
Students examine the crime scene, analyse the evidence collected and interpret the forensic test results including entomology, footprints,trace evidence, DNA matching, fingerprints, toxicology, digital data and much more.
Police have a lead on a man named "Paul", but he is an enigma. Using their worksheets, students must interpret the evidence and build a case to identify Paul and his motives. As they piece together the clues they uncover the story of what happened to Sally and why.
